\nAside from our updates to our content, just looking at everyone's presentations today and noticed some design\/presentation ideas for our wiki. Thinking things like:

\n- photo\/identifying image on top rather than just the wiki image and carrying that through all our pages
\n- Table of Contents on right (learn2 on key features)
\n- is our executive summary our 'welcome' page eg like learn2 which includes the assessment critia or should we include a separate page for that
\n- should there be a summary page at end
\n- update glossary and hyperlinks back to that with our content
\n

\nNot sure we need a table of contents as such because the navigation pretty much says it all, though I did include links to the main sections in the introduction that I wrote to try and cover this.

\nI think the executive summary kind of stands as the "summary at the end"...kind of worried that we'll end up with too many summarising pages that take away from what we want people to read - the main sections.

\nMy initial thoughts are based around the use of twitter and possibly also twitpic and their applications in microblogging and how this can supplement or even replace traditional lecture-based education. I feel this kind of model would be best suited to independent learners and possibly might also have some applications in distant education.

Basically all you need to is click the link (http:\/\/todaysmeet.com\/edutweet<\/a>), type your name in the box and click Join. You can then type a msg which will appear in the screen to your left. It also saves messges, so if you can't make the time you can read what's been said (nifty feature).

\nGiven the consensus, we all seem more likely to make the Tuesday 6:30 meeting (which is great!!)! That said, I'm going to hang out in Today's Meet on Monday from 7 for about half an hour just in case someone happens not to be able to make the Tuesday one. If this is cool can someone please stick this on the home page?

\nI, unfortunately, haven't been able to locate a microphone for skype purposes but I'm going to see if I can borrow one from work next week- I was thinking seeing as we may need to pair up on certain sections it might be good for people to chat to each other in smaller groups?

\nBut for what it's worth, I totally agree with Shelley about how well you are doing with organising bits and pieces so far. I really appreciate your concerns and anxiety about doing something like this for the first time, and I'm sorry that you seemed to have been propelled into the 'leader' role. Please don't think that any lack of direction and\/or success (if it does happen) can be attributed to you. This is a group task and everyone has responsibility to contribute and maintain a presence so if anything happens, it's everyone's responsibility. It already appears that people are starting to put their hand up and take roles\/tasks on board.

I've been working on the research and blog most of day and will be back there tomorrow. \nthere may be some helpful ideas, in particular the following quote in relation to 'Twitter' being a boundary object ..communication artifact ..as it explains below. where "communities of practice" can negotiate their contribution, their position and their alignment.

\nI have been following a 'secondary college' where the teacher continually updates ideas to the students, including ideas, concepts etc.
